The Municipality of Lezo, Aklan, was recognized for receiving a High Functionality Rating from the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) for the years 2019 and 2021. Similarly, the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) received a High Functionality Rating for 2021 during the DILG-PAGKILAEA Aklan’s 2022 at the Marzon Hotel in Kalibo, Aklan.
The Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) was awarded the a high Functionality Rating for the years 2019 and 2021. The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) was also honored with a High Functionality Rating for 2021.
Mayor Mary Lenette R. Fernandez and Lezo MLGOO Emmie M. Cawaling received this honor at the Pakilaea 2022 event hosted by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
The award given to Lezo is part of an ongoing DILG program that recognizes local government units (LGU) for their compliance in carrying out their mandate of maintaining peace and order, as well as their campaign against illegal drugs in the community. (ETB)
