The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 6 holds the nationwide simultaneous payout in Lezo on December 16, 2022, with the theme “BUHAYnihan: Buhay at Bayanihan para sa Mamamayan,” as part of the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The DSWD Regional Office personnel distributed cash assistance to Persons With Disability (PWDs) recipients held at the MDRRM Office in Poblacion, Lezo, Aklan, as part of the KALAHI-CIDSS Cash for Work for Persons With Disability Program.
Wenna According to Mae B. Manares of the MSWDO, Lezo was chosen as the program’s recipient out of all the municipalities in the province because it met the social welfare agency’s requirements.
During the course of the activity, 56 PWD beneficiaries were able to receive financial assistance.
The DSWD personnel was assisted by MSWDO staff together with Lezo PDAO Focal person Mr. Jorge Abello. (ETB)
