Governor Florencio T. MIraflores issued Executive Order No. 36, Series of 2020 issued on August 28, 2020 that removes the RT-PCR (Swab Test) requirements for locally stranded individuals (LSIs) coming home to Aklan. The non-imposition of the swab test requirements is in compliance with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) memorandum advising local government units to remove such requirements.
With this stranded Lezeños may go home to Lezo with the following requirements to wit:
- Travel Authority issued by Joint Task Force Covid Shield (usually released by Municipal or City PNP Office)
- Notice of Coordination or Letter of Acceptance issued by Office of the Municipal Mayor
- Medical Clearance Certificate (issued by Municipal or City RHU and is good for three days before trip).
All LSI coming home from outside Western Visayas (Region VI) are mandated to undergo a strict 14-day home quarantine. In case of unavailability of houses to be quarantined based on the recommendation from the Municipal Health Office, an LSI may be housed at Barangay Ligtas Covid Center (LCC) where expenses for food will be shared between the LSI family and the barangay with the assistance of LGU Lezo.
Issuance of Letter of Acceptance
Before the Issuance of Letter of Acceptance from Office of the Mayor, the LSI may fill up the the Letter of Acceptance Form online and/or the his/her family needs to coordinate first with the Barangay for his/her intent to travel back to Lezo to allow the Barangay and the MHO to verify the house to be used as quarantine facility. After the verification the Office of the Mayor will send the Certificate of Acceptance to the LSI through email or Facebook Messenger.
The Provincial Government is also requiring LSI and returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFW) to submit their information on Online Health Declaration Form for contact tracing purposes.
LSI are advised to plan their trip in advance and allow five (5) days in the issuance of Certificate of Acceptance.
