Granular lockdown on Sitio Tunga in Brgy. Ibao Declared

Lezo Mayor Mary Lenette R. Fernandez in coordinaton with Mayor Jeserel T. Templonuevo of Numancia has declared Sitio Tunga of Brgy. Ibao, Lezo, Aklan and a portion of neighboring Brgy. Aliputos of Numancia under granular enhanced community quarantine (GECQ) effective December 30, 2020.

The lockdown of the said area is due to 4 reported confirmed COVID-19 cases and 34 high risk contacts based on the report from the Municipal Health Office.

Under GECQ, residents of the area under lockdown would be prevented to leave their homes as well as restrictions of entry for people and vehicle to and from the said area.

Quarantine passes will be required for all residents of Brgy. Ibao when they needed to leave the said barangay while only authorized persons outside residence (APOR) would be allowed to enter and exit the said barangays.

The declaration of the GECQ is to give way to the health officials of the two municipalities to conduct thorough contact tracing efforts to isolate the infected individuals from the community to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Security will be headed by Lezo and Numancia Municipal Police Stations as well as the Barangays Tanods and Officials of the said barangays.

Curfew Hours from 6:00 pm to 6:00 would also be imposed until the GECQ declaration would be lifted.

Mayor Fernandez has met with Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 to prepare goods for the affected residents.
